Policies
(1) Residents are given
priority registration for ALL trips
(2) Non-residents may
sign-up for some bus trips after the first of each month
(3) Registrations for our
more popular trips may be limited to residents and their guests
only
(4) Registration by phone
is limited to residents of Valley View signing up for
FREE TRIPS ONLY
(5) Registration forms
must be completed for all trips
(6)
Additional bus trips are advertised in our monthly newsletter
(7) No children under 4-years old, or children who require a safety
seat or booster seat, are permitted to ride the bus

Young Chef's Academy
Teen Night
Young Chef's Academy in
Strongsville is a cooking school just for kids! Teen nights
for kids 12-18, feature challenging recipes, techniques, and skills
to encourage experimenting in the kitchen while having a great time
with friends. Budding chefs will learn the basics of cooking
while participating in the preparation of real recipes that they get
to taste at the end of class. Students will learn safety,
etiquette, math, science, and nutrition...all while having fun!

Chalet Toboggan Chutes
Teen Tobogganing
Join us for a fun-filled
evening on the toboggan run at the Cleveland Metroparks Chalet
Recreation area. Group leaders will be available. For
Grades 7 and up and permission slips are required. Those
under Grade 7 must be accompanied by a parent.

Holiday Valley Ski Trip
Ellicottville, New York
Head to Holiday Valley Ski
Resort with the Community Center! This February, we're headed
back to Ellicottville, New York for our annual day of skiing fun and
excitement! The resort, rated among the best resorts in the
country by SKI Magazine readers, offers 56 slopes and trails,
including beginner, intermediate, and expert trails for your
enjoyment. Equipment rentals are available. More
information is on hand at the Front Desk of the Community Center.
The cost of the trip includes and 8-hour lift ticket and
transportation to and from the resort. Meals are on your own.

The Cleveland Home and
Garden Show
Northeast Ohio's original
and longest running home and garden show will celebrate its 67th
year at the new 215,000-square-foot convention center in Euclid,
Ohio. The Great Lakes Expo Center is the new permanent home
for acres of fragrant, blooming gardens, expert horticulture advice,
and interior design ideas. If you are a gardening enthusiast,
this is one event you'll want to see - a true "Preview of Spring".
You'll see beautiful "Celebrity Gardens", feature gardens, and
dozens of floral displays.

Showtime at High Noon Series
These special noon-time
programs are presented at Playhouse Square free of charge by the
Performing Arts Division of Cuyahoga Community College in
conjunction with their generous funders as a gift to enrich our
community. An hour in length, they offer a special educational
lecture and demonstration for audiences of all ages.

Spring Casino Trip
Feel lucky today?
Take a casino trip with the Community Center (location to be
announced). Enjoy slot machines, dining areas, and lounges
that welcome guests to relax and enjoy an exciting atmosphere of
entertainment and chance. There will be something for
everyone! Registration for residents begins on February 15 and
for non-residents on March 1.

Brunch Bunch
Once a month, join us
for a trip to a different area restaurant. It's a chance to
try something new, and share lunch with friends. Refer to our
monthly newsletter, or check with the Front Desk at the Community
Center for dates. We leave the Community Center at 11:30 AM
and return around 2 PM.
Participants are responsible for the cost of
their lunch.

Amish Country
Your old favorites are
back. We will visit Marshallville Meat Packing
for quality meats, the city of Kidron for the Flea Market, Lemans
Hardware, and other specialty shops. We will stop at one of
the great restaurants in the area for lunch.
