Valley View Aerobics

Most classes listed here are FREE to members of the Community Center (see below for details).  Members can bring a guest to join in our aerobics classes by signing in the guest(s) at the Front Desk and paying the appropriate guest rate.

Classes are offered at the same time each week, and you do not need to pre-register to attend most classes.  Just bring a towel and a water bottle, sign in with the Front Desk when you arrive, and enjoy the class!  We hope to see you there!

Fabulous Abs (Instructor Kim Sinarski)

Work for 30 minutes getting those abs flat and strong.  Kim will teach you core exercises that will show results.

Mondays and Wednesdays:  5:30-6 PM

Tuesdays and Thursdays:  8:30-9 AM

 

Body Blast (Instructor Kim Sinarski)

New, fun class using a variety of techniques.  High cardio movements using or not using a step and hand weights are used while strengthening every muscle.  Finalizing the class will be ab work using the exer balls and leg strengthening using body bars.  It's a great workout!

Mondays and Wednesdays:  6-7 PM

 

Beginning Yoga

Instructor, Lucy McKernan

Breathe.  Stretch.  Relax.  Learn basic Hatha (physical) yoga with this introductory class for all ages.  Special emphasis on proper alignment, breathing, and meditation makes this course easy enough for beginners, or for those looking for a refresher course.  Bring a yoga mat, stretchable clothing, and an open mind and heart.

Intermediate Yoga

Community Center members:  $2.50 per class

Non-members:  $5 per class

 

Body Sculpting

 

Weight training is the fasted way to shape up!  Look 10-15 years younger just by working out with weights!  This balanced fitness workout combines strength, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance without running, dancing, jumping or jazzing.  Working with a set of weights the entire hour, you'll learn exercises from a Certified Fitness Trainer designed to firm your entire body without building muscle size or bulk.  Weight training helps prevent osteoporosis and boosts your metabolism, helping you to lose weight, too!  This class accommodates beginner to advanced fitness levels.  Bring a set of two 5-pound dumbbells, an exercise mat, a stretch band or towel, and a water bottle.  Each term includes eight, one-hour classes.
