Accounting Clerk

This is a fulltime position 40 hours per week. Including medical, dental, vision coverage and other benefits available to full time employees.


Job Description: Process, verify, pay and organize invoices. Maintain financial filing system including balancing sheets, creating reports and logging in financial system. Assist with payroll calculating, processing and logging. When not performing job specific tasks, the accounting clerk may assist with office related duties such as answering phones, assisting with HR tasks, cash flow entries, forecasting, audits and other tasks as assigned. The accounting clerk is expected to manage several workflows and to be cross-trained over time with other duties of the Clerk-Treasurer's Office.


Qualifications include but are not limited to: Proficient with Microsoft Programs, Experience with Software Solutions, Inc. EGOV software knowledge preferred, but not required. Licensed Notary Public preferred or required in the first 6 months. Accounting background needed. Experience in fund accounting, auditing and payroll management needed. Government accounting and payroll experience preferred. High School diploma required and higher education and/or work experience preferred. Confidentiality is a mist. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with management, staff, vendors and residents. Detail oriented, ability to multitask and quickly adapt to new circumstances, juggle multiple daily tasks and deadlines.
